Married with three children, I have been winemaking for 45 years, since graduating from Roseworthy Agricultural College.
Starting with Lindeman’s Wines at the Leo Buring winery, I then, through company take overs, worked at Penfold’s Wines for over 10 years. This would have to be the highlight of my career, being a member of the Penfold’s Red winemaking team being involved with all the premium wines including the famous Grange.
Next stage was to work at the Hardy’s Reynella Winery, co-ordinating all the Hardy Group’s wines for bottling, and part of the Sparkling Winemaking team.
In January, 2016 I started working at Harbour Bottling, with the initial team of 5 people, and have been at HB to this day.
I have been involved with making all wine styles, from many parts of Australia, and have enjoyed every bit of it.
Michele and I love wining and dining, and trying different wines, but my favourite go to wine is Penfold’s Bin 389.
Outside of work my interests and hobbies are Motorcycles, Aussie Muscle Cars and Australian Rules Football. Robert Ruediger
